Had a good day with the horses today. Rode Amber in the morning, she was very calm and chilled out. I even felt brave enough to ask for canter on each rein. Focused on rhythm today which was pretty good to start with and still improved by the end. It was Matti's turn in the afternoon. He was a little on his toes and almost made me eat dirt due to a huge spook (Simon at F!). He settled and got some nice work from him so cut session a little short to end on a good note.

Day 2 - Write a letter expressing your gratitude This one is all about writing a letter or card to the one person who started and encouraged your love for horses. Quite an easy one as I can thank/ blame my mum Catherine Watts for my love of horses, by taking me for lessons when I was around 4 or 5? I realise now how lucky I was to be able to share this hobby/ life with my mum and we still share horses even now. I am meant to take a photo of the letter, but that would kind of give the game away ;) so here is a fab photo of Mum jumping a friend's pony at pony camp 2 years ago (the first time Mum had ridden her too). I was meant to add a photo to my last post, to sum up the year. I have chosen this one of Matti and I at the last competition we went to in May this year. The reason I chose it is because it was the first time I drove a lorry with a horse in it, the first time my mum has seen me compete since I was at school and the fact that we had such a great day out together and Matti was super.
